What role does gravity play in the grounding of our viewing of photographs? Why is it that I can tell which edge is the top and which is the bottom of a photograph? Is it gravity? If it is gravity grounding our viewing of pictures, then is it fair to say that the physical force of gravity is impacting upon the psychological experience of viewing? What follows are some examples of my attempts at challenging how gravity affects our vision.
